DEARTH X DAGGERS | Poetry and Hip-Hop Lyricism

Thursday, October 23, 2025 — Listening Session Begins at 6:00 PM
Listening Session + Panel hosted by Dearth X Daggers (Chuck Daggers & Tommy Dearth)

Dearth X Daggers bring their hybrid practice of streetwise lyricism, vocals, and contemporary sound to a conversation about where poetry, songwriting, and Hip-Hop lyricism meet, diverge, and drive one another forward. The discussion explores craft, lineage, commercialism, and the power of voice.

The evening begins with a listening session featuring new and unreleased tracks from Dearth X Daggers’ studio, inviting audiences to tune in and mingle before the conversation unfolds. The panel that follows offers a vivid exchange on process, influence, and innovation, revealing how lyricism functions as both poetic experiment and sonic narrative in today’s culture.

Dearth X Daggers treat lyricism far beyond the commercial realm. Their recordings are both archive and experiment: ideal for poets, emcees, producers, and anyone curious about the cross-pollination and often misperseption of spoken word, the human voice, and music genre such as electronic music and hip-hop. Expect a grounded, chill, forward-thinking dialogue on craft, context, and performance, paired with live examples drawn from the duo’s recorded and video work.

This program is approximately 2 hours. Bring your poetry and lyrics.
